Moved to MW

[edit]

For me the use of template {{movedToMediaWiki}} on a talk page is obscure (putting it mildly).  The subject page contains an impressive edit history, e.g., Tim Starling and Azatoth contributed, and even discussed bugs not yet fixed in 2011.  At least Patrick restored the related Help:Parser function page after a similar move by Happy-melon — @Patrick: thanks.  JFTR, still existing older MediaWiki versions have no mw: or mediawikiwiki:, but support metawikipedia: Interwiki linking to help pages here.

BTW, the shortcut WM:PF to the subject page still exists.  There is apparently no attribution on the MW page.  Was WM:PF always licensed as CC-SA, or was it CC-BY-SA at the time of this move?  The Terms of Use are not clear what they really intend, CC-SA or CC-BY-SA.  For arguably historic archives of the original Talk:ParserFunctions page (now redirected to this page) see Special:Prefixindex/Talk:ParserFunctions.  –82.113.106.28 03:48, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

The character E would give the result I didn't expect

[edit]

For further investigation {{#expr:F}} would give the following result: Expression error: Unrecognized word "f".. But {{#expr:E}} would give the following result: 2.718281828459. Is it possible to treat capital letter E and small letter E differently? Winstonhyypia (talk) 08:48, 1 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
