Orphaned non-free image File:Tenet movie poster 3.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Tenet movie poster 3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:47, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Mughal Empire. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Idell (talk) 03:34, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Relevation Animations", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. --67.85.37.186 (talk) 22:49, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My name is the name of my YouTube channel, that I own personally with no others. I do not believe my username violates the username policy.
First of all, sign. Second of all, it sounds like a company. Please state it's your YouTube channel on your userpage. --67.85.37.186 (talk) 23:59, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fleming

Clearly, you saw the note in the edit screen that said: "A consensus exists not to have an infobox – see Talk:Ian Fleming/Archive 3#Is the collapsed box needed – so please do not put an infobox without seeking to change that consensus on the talk page.". But you decided to stick two fingers up to this consensus and went ahead and added one anyway. This is disruptive behaviour. Show a little respect in future. Thank you. Mass image changes

You really should stop making unilateral image changes across articles. Go to the talkpages of such articles & seek a consensus for the images you're pushing. GoodDay (talk) 21:05, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with GoodDay. This is especially true for legendary bios. You replaced several images simply because they were B&W when the replacement was clearly poorer quality. Color isn't automatically better. There are numerous excellent B&W images for bios throughout Wikipedia. And it's generally standard procedure to seek consensus to change the infobox image for major figures before changing. And yet you have continued to change them without discussion even after we have asked you to stop. Please stop changing images without discussion. Sundayclose (talk) 03:37, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with GoodDay and Sundayclose. There are considerations beyond simple aesthetics for images in bio infoboxes. For example, portraits are preferred: Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images#Image quality. In any case, you should engage in discussion with other editors when they revert you or ask you to stop before you make additional changes. Replying to the messages here would be a good start. — Tartan357  (Talk) 01:53, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I’ll try to seek consensus before I change anymore images. Relevation Animations (talk) 01:58, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You need to do more than "try". You need to actually discuss before changing images. Sundayclose (talk) 02:18, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page, User:Relevation Animations, has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be advertising which only promoted or publicized someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Chadwick Boseman shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. A tag has been placed on File:Bah Ndaw interim president of Mali.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 13:03, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Firstly, I don’t receive any payment for my edits on Wikipedia. Secondly, Because I was blocked because of my username, It is incredibly difficult and unlikely for me to both be able to violate this rule, and it’s improbable that I violate the rule anytime soon. I understand my error, and will not repeat this mistake again. As you can probably see from my editing history, my editing typically revolves around visual editing. I plan to continue doing this if I am unblocked, and to now seek consensus before any major changes as I have been doing recently. I hope that you understand my case here, and consider repealing my block. Relevation Animations (talk) 14:42, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Most of your edits seem ok and your general interests seem pretty clearly non-promotional, so I'm generally ok with unblocking. However, I'm going to ask that you please request a name that does not include the word "Relevation", and thus will decline this specific request pending your choice of another user name. signed, Rosguill talk 18:32, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking to be unblocked to request a change in username.

Request reason:
Here’s a name that does not reference my YouTube channel in any way, and is more reflective of my editing style. Relevation Animations (talk) 19:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please place {{subst:Unblock on hold-notification | 1=The Image Editor}} on the administrator's talk page. Then replace this template with the following:

{{unblock-un on hold | 1=blocking administrator | 2=The Image Editor | 3=Here’s a name that does not reference my YouTube channel in any way, and is more reflective of my editing style. Relevation Animations (talk) 19:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC) | 4=~~~~}}[reply]

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following:

{{unblock-un reviewed | 1=The Image Editor | reason=Here’s a name that does not reference my YouTube channel in any way, and is more reflective of my editing style. Relevation Animations (talk) 19:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC) | accept=Allowing username change to requested username. Please select an option from [[Wikipedia:Changing username]] and file a request as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. ~~~~}}[reply]

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}} with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after "decline=", a default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.

{{unblock-un reviewed | 1=The Image Editor | reason=Here’s a name that does not reference my YouTube channel in any way, and is more reflective of my editing style. Relevation Animations (talk) 19:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC) | decline={{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}[reply]
Personally, I wouldn't support that as a name because of Wikipedia:VisualEditor being an important aspect of editing on Wikipedia, so it may be a confusing username. But I'll let others, especially those who actually do the renamings, weigh in. only (talk) 19:08, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Only. How about The Image Editor? signed, Rosguill talk 19:15, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I can get behind that username. I’ll change the requested username. Relevation Animations (talk) 19:41, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for complying. At this point we need to wait for an admin with global renamer permissions to act on this request. signed, Rosguill talk 20:14, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I just want to apologize for making you create the userpage-it's part of your block. Then again, I felt a block coming. --67.85.37.186 (talk) 23:35, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
