I am a regular translator here and on MediaWiki.org (where I’m translator admin since one month) (and a previous admin on fr.WP), and I’m particularly interested in setting up the translation on the FDC pages (see my research about that) for the the FDC’s second round of 2013-14. For this purpose, I searched how polishing the translation of templates (see here), although I encounter severe bugs in Translate for that (so it’s not for now).
@Base: We don't even have a policy on how long such requests should be kept open. Without that it is not possible to close requests too early or something like that. Only RfAs need to be open for at least seven days. However, that does not apply to translation adminship request. Please see Meta:RfA#Other access: Translation administrator: please read Meta:Translation administrator and Meta:Translate extension. No fixed time limit for these requests is defined, and there are no particular requirements; if you provide a valid reason your request will be granted. If you'd like to change that, then feel free to propose something on the talk page or wherever it could fit. Regards, -Barrastalk21:22, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
