To (count) Be, or not to (count) Be?[edit]

@Masti and Braveheart: thanks for the stats. Shouldn't we also present the Nakaromovka Belarussian flavour? :) aegis maelstrom δ 12:50, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Aegis Maelstrom and Braveheart: It will appear once there are articles on be.wiki. The bot takes all wikis that have a linked {{CEE Spring 2021}} template. if You look Wikimedia CEE Spring 2021/Statistics/Authors list/per wiki: there is a column for both be & be-tarask --masti <talk> 13:08, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Small request[edit]

@Masti and Braveheart: Can we ask the statistics bot to match the Russian name of the countries from the template: (Крым - Crimean Tataras) и (Кипр - Cyprus). For a more accurate reflection of the statistics. JukoFF (talk) 09:55, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@JukoFF: yes, I'm checking daily missing country names. So tomorrow they will be reflected. masti <talk> 11:36, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Roma articles statistics[edit]

Hi! The statistics does not count Roma articles in huwiki. Can this be fixed, please? They are collected in hu:Kategória:Wikipédia CEE Tavasz 2021 – Cigányok. Thank you! Xia (talk) 11:39, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Xia: They are now counted. I check daily for new countries not beeing recognized. masti <talk> 19:39, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
lvwiki recently updated the category name for Roma: from "romi" to "čigāni", articles are put in "other" now. Papuass (talk) 07:25, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanto Wikivoyage statistics missing[edit]

Contributions made on the Esperanto Wikivoyage are missing from the statistics. They are marked with the VikiPrintempo COE 2021 template. --Iketsi (talk) 20:13, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Iketsi: I have to test it. Till now the script was only used on wikipedias. masti <talk> 19:38, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Iketsi: including vikivoyage will require some major code changes. I'm working on it. masti <talk> 21:31, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Iketsi: is counting together all eo. projects OK? hava a look at pl:Wikipedysta:Masti/CEE Spring 2021/Article list, pl:Wikipedysta:Masti/CEE Spring 2021/Article length. If this is OK, I can implement it tomorrow. masti <talk> 22:04, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Masti: Looks good! —Iketsi (talk) 22:09, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Iketsi:OK. I will enable it from tomorrows run. It's to late for today :) masti <talk> 22:15, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Masti: Dzięki! —Iketsi (talk) 22:17, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ukrainian Wikipedia missing[edit]

@Masti: hi! Could you add Ukrainian Wikipedia to the stats? Here's the landing page; the number of articles can be determined by the number of transclusions of the contest template. Thanks! --AntonProtsiuk (WMUA) (talk) 19:30, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@AntonProtsiuk (WMUA): I have connected the template in Wikidata. The articles will now be counted. masti <talk> 19:36, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

slwiki × Cyprus[edit]

Please fix the bot to count articles in sl:Kategorija:Wikipedija:Članki natečaja Wikimedia CEE Pomlad 2021 - Ciper (or |država=Ciper if it looks at templates). — Yerpo Eh? 06:57, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ping @Masti:Yerpo Eh? 05:01, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Yerpo: I'm doing the changes daily as new unracognized countries appear. So it will be fixed in a next run. masti <talk> 09:41, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

mtwiki articles about women missing from "Articles about women author" statistics[edit]

I am not sure how the bot goes about determining which articles pertain to women, but mtwiki articles about women are missing from the stats (see w:mt:Wisława Szymborska, w:mt:Zlata Filipović, w:mt:Sofija Jovanović, w:mt:Selma Rıza, and w:mt:Staka Skenderova). They don't have a separate category, but at least one fiu-vrowiki article about a woman somehow manages to display in the stats without a "women" category (see w:fiu-vro:Oti Anneli) --Iketsi (talk) 20:19, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It looks fine after the update, but "nisa" (Maltese for "Women") is uninterpreted. --Iketsi (talk) 15:38, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
fixed masti <talk> 21:21, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
using WD fixed the problem. But mt template has only options for countries not for additional parameters. This was the casue for nisa not working. And it still does not work. masti <talk> 22:21, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why have women articles in eo, hy, mt, myv, ro: disappeared?[edit]

See here. --Iketsi (talk) 18:53, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Armenian editors write about women. The articles are in the following category. Please take this into account in the statistics.--Beko (talk) 07:16, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Iketsi and Beko: I have disabled check for woman usnig Wikidata for performance reasons. Reenabled now. Probably the articles are not marked properly with woman parameter in templates. Missing articles sholud be back after tonights run. masti <talk> 21:18, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Masti: Where are the valid terms for "woman" defined? I noticed that the ones the bot doesn't recognize display in bold on the Stats pages. --Iketsi (talk) 21:20, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Iketsi: manually by me :) The bold ones are the parameters in country= that are not trasnlatable to English names. And I only translate the ones that are part of competition. masti <talk> 21:46, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Masti: Does the English term "Woman" always work? --Iketsi (talk) 21:49, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Iketsi: No. Countries do work. BTW: the script needs a big rewrite. Maybe for next year masti <talk> 22:07, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

@Masti: In the statistics I have observed that they are published a few or more minutes later in comparation with the update of the previous day. Is there any reason why this is happening? NikosLikomitros (talk) 17:51, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@NikosLikomitros: Yes. The reason is the more articles we have the longer it takes to get all the data. masti <talk> 21:18, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Masti: Thank you for your swift response. I had observed that every day the update was published a bit later everyday than yesterday, so my question was formed. NikosLikomitros (talk) 21:33, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
