Wikimania 2005现接受 报名。早期报名以预定青年旅舍的房间，所有的会议和活动都将在那里举行。

关于Wikimania

Wikimania 2005 - 第一届国际维基媒体大会—为所有维基媒体项目的使用者举办的大会—将于2005年8月4日至8日在德国法兰克福举办。伊里安 (de)志愿作为会议的组织和规划方面的领导。

大会将包括来自维基百科中的讲演者，同样也包括来自维基百科外的讲演者。大会的一个目的将人们聚集在一起，并从其他语言项目学习。

在所用的语言方面，会议将是完全国际性的，虽然由于实际的原因，很多材料将需要是英文的。

大会将寻求赞助商。

• Registration form is ready to translate. German and French translation are strongly needed. Spanish and Esperanto translation are also welcome. Please help to translate Registration form into your language.

• Translation deadline was set on March 30. Besides Translation requests/Wikimania on meta, if you would like to, you can also work on the site.

• Translation requests/Wikimania has been set up, please join translation. Not only German, French, Spanish, Esperanto and Japanese translators, but other language translations are welcome. The main stuffs for translation, register form and its content is coming soon.

• A press release about Wikimania is currently being written to publicise the conference. It should be released after the registration website is ready.

• Jimbo and entourage have returned from a tour of the Haus der Jugend. Reports have been positive and the dates have been fixed as 4-8 August.

• Discussion is underway on the creation and selection of possible Wikimania banners. Please add your comments and/or additional drafts on Wikimania:Banner.
• At 0330 UTC this morning, the name vote was closed due to a strong showing of support for "Wikimania 2005: The First International Wikimedia Conference". Thanks to everyone for showing your support of your preferred name.

• akl has indicated after conversing with the Haus der Jugend that the most likely dates will be 2005-08-04 to 2005-08-08. Preliminary reservations are expected to proceed soon.
