Region of Wikimedia New York City activities, centered on the New York metropolitan area, and more broadly home to over 20 million people. But everyone who can attend a meeting is welcome to join!

Wikimedia New York City is a non-profit organization which serves as the local Wikimedia chapter for New York City and the New York metropolitan area, as well as for all Wikimedians across the Northeast US who find it most convenient to participate in meetings in New York City. This chapter is in an early state of development, and new information will be added here as time progresses.

We're working with pioneering neighbors throughout the Northeast US, and hope to cooperate with them and other US chapters in future through a Wikimedia United States Chapters Council.

The best way to keep up to date with us is to watch this page, the New York City Meetup, and to join the mailing list.

[edit] Contact Us

We are very interested in contacts with outside individuals and other organizations in the local community.

If you have a project you want to work on with us, this is a great opportunity to get acquainted. If you want someone to give a talk or teach a class with an inside view of Wikipedia, meet your volunteers. And if you just have any questions, we'd be glad to try to answer them.

The best way to keep up to date with us is to watch this page, the New York City Meetup, and to join the mailing list.
