  • Practical applications of Wikidata e.g research ,showcasing events, thematic contests and edit–a-thons. sensitisation and outreach, annual celebrations

The Wikidata Community and opportunities

Week 6

Cohort & general AfLIA audience

Includes:
  • A presentation from the community officer to highlight ways of connecting to the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikidata funding opportunities available to librarians and information workers
  • The Wikidata community (e.g user groups, IFLA LD4 etc) and its representatives briefly talking about who they are and what they do, how they can be contacted and what opportunities exist for joining and collaboration (Wikidata Community Showcase including research)
End of Round 1 but keep communication open to support individuals develop their ideas
