The AWC de-stub-a-thon is a stub elimination contest, with the intention to destub articles around the theme, Landmarks in Africa. The idea is simple: blast away as many of our 4,000 + African Landmark stubs as possible. All that is required for this is basic article expansions!
To participate or "de-stub" an article in this contest, all you have to do is to ensure that the article is a minimum of 1.5 kB (1500 characters) readable prose in total. You can measure it using this tool. The existing text and text you add is expected to all be verifiable and adequately sourced to reliable sources, with the expected citations drawn up.
The overall winner of the de-stub-a-thon will receive a laptop and all top 5 contributors will receive certificates of participation. Even if you don't want prizes, you're welcome to participate in this and help destub articles about Africa one article at a time!
