Celtic Knot Conference 2020/Call for submissions
Celtic Knot 2020 aims to build on the success of the previous conferences. Speakers are encouraged to share their success stories and the challenges they have faced whilst helping to develop a small or minority language Wikipedia. Organizations, editors, any group of people are welcome to submit proposals for the program. They will be reviewed by the organization team. The call for proposals is now closed.
Themes
[edit]We will not be restricting submissions to a particular theme, however contributors may wish to consider submitting proposals about
- How Wikidata and language technology can support minority languages
- Wikimedia projects in education with language applications
- Experiences with empowering wiki communities to create content in their language
- How cultural institutions and wiki communities work together to provide more accessible knowledge in minority languages
Submission types
[edit]As it is the first time that we experiment with a remote format for the Celtic Knot, please note that some things may change as we put the program together: times, formats, conditions.
- Presentation (20-30min, live or pre-recorded)
- Lightning talk (5min, pre-recorded only)
- Workshop (live-stream with option to interact with participants)
- Help desk (discussion channel)
- Another remote format (feel free to be creative!)
Open submissions
[edit]In this category, you can find the proposals that have already been proposed. Feel free to have a look at the existing proposals: we encourage participants to get in touch and work together on similar topics.
