Title of the submission

Esperanto in Wikimedia: Bridging Cultures and Promoting Linguistic Diversity

Type of submission
Abstract (up to 300 words to describe your proposal)

I will present a poster about Esperanto and its significance within Wikimedia projects; focusing on its history, unique grammatical structure, and its role in promoting linguistic and cultural diversity. The poster will explore effective strategies for promoting Esperanto within the Wikimedia community, including educational projects, edit-a-thons, and collaborations with academic institutions. Additionally, it will showcase success stories that illustrate the positive impact of Esperanto on the platform. The aim is to provide attendees with practical tools and knowledge to foster the use of Esperanto in Wikimedia, as well as to inspire active participation in its promotion and advocacy. The case of Esperanto in Wikimedia can serve as an example of language minority preservation built by and for the community.
