Welcome to the Wikipedia editing contest around the Chittagong and Bangkok!


What?
It is an editing contest around the Chittagong and the Bangkok city. The goal of this first edition is improved and translate a list of 100 articles in two different languages, 50 in Bengali and 50 in Thai; related to the both cities, and including architecture, natural resources, famous figures and games facilities.
This initiative is a part of this Community Exchange. You can participate in any of two language or both.



When?
The editing contest runs from 00:01 MM DD to 23:59 MM DD, 2018 (UTC).



How?
Points can be achieved by creating new articles or expanding existing ones from the list, related to the Chittagong and Munich belong to a Wikipedia category about both city. The scoring system is as follows (do not forget to score points awarded by each article that you work on the section of participants):


  • +1 point for each 1000 bytes of content added.
  • +3 points for each new article or translation of an article in any of both language.
Examples:
  • If you improve 3100 bytes of content of an existing article, you get 3 points
  • If you start or translate an article and it is 4100 bytes long, you get 7 points: 3 points for starting a new article and 4 for its extension.



Who?
Public interested in learning how to edit in Wikipedia and improve or translate articles. It is only necessary to have an user account in advance. To participate you must register in the participants section.



Why?
The contest is organized under the Community Exchange Chittagong-Bangkok project: one of our main goals is to provide all the free knowledge about both cities in two different languages. If your organization or institution wants to collaborate with this contest, please, Organizing Team.
