Below are the results of the pre-training survey of the attendees of the Communications training in São Paulo, April 2016.

Question 1: In the last 12 months, how often have you been involved with external communications with public media, not including social media, in the context of the Wikimedia movement?

Question 3: overall, to what extent do you feel prepared to do effective external communication work?

Question 4: To what extent do you feel prepared to write and disseminate an effective press-release?

Question 5: To what extent do you feel prepared to obtain access to news outlets to respond to coverage about Wikimedia (e.g. securing an interview or TV appearance when there is negative or unfair media mention of Wikipedia; following up on positive coverage)?

Question 6: To what extent do you feel prepared to respond to media questions in a live interview effectively and with integrity?
