Mapping for Commons artwork template vs Wikidata item for a painting

• Problem: This is a placeholder for 2017 Community Wishlist Survey/Wikidata/Integrate Pattypan and Quick Statements

Since it was proposed under Wikidata, I assume it should be left there, but the main issue was proposed last year under the Commons group here: 2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Categories/Commons#Upload_wizard_for_uploading_artwork

• Who would benefit: Commons uploaders and Wikidata item curators for paintings and other artworks

• Proposed solution: The title says it all; but maybe it should also say "Commons UW & Quick Statements". Basically you want an easy way to upload the metadata of an image to both Wikidata and Commons at the same time (given there is generally overlap for 90% of the metadata, the stuff not in overlap could be defined in some sort of "user profile" or "upload campaign".
