Option to insert cite in VE without ref tags

NoN Only active registered users can create proposals. Please find someone to adopt your proposal.

  • Problem: When inserting ex. external links by using Cite (automatic) in Visual Editor, there's no way (as far as I know) to remove the ref tags (switch to code editor is needed)
  • Who would benefit: Wikipedia editors
  • Proposed solution: Option in Cite dialog to bypass inserting the ref tags, or option in VE to remove/add ref tags

The solution might be simple checkbox - when chcecked, citation will be S REFERENCE, WHEN UNCHECKED, as literature. JAn Dudík (talk) 19:10, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
