Remove sign that says the article is saved

NoN Functionality exists

  • Problem: When you save an article you get a small message that says it is saved
  • Proposed solution: Remove it
  • Who would benefit: Everyone that contributes
  • More comments: Why should we have such a feature, when you enter save, it's saved. It's just a nuisance.

Discussion

  • I think that the editor wants some feedback proving that their hard work has been uploaded successfully. --Lion-hearted85 (talk) 22:43, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
    • @Lion-hearted85: I will say I find it useful to know if something has been published or hasn't gone through because my internet crapped out, though I will say that on mobile, placing a green tick in the middle of the green text "Your edit was saved" isn't very readable. I don't know if this is an issue that's present on desktop, though.Ineffablebookkeeper (talk) 23:05, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • @Ulflarsen: This is possible to do by adding the following to your global.css page:
    .postedit {
        display: none;
    }

    Do you mind if we archive this proposal, or is there more to it that you'd like to add? SWilson (WMF) (talk) 05:50, 24 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Since we learned that there is a workaround for those that do not want to see the confirmation message after saving an article, I'm archiving this proposal. Thank you for participating in the survey! HMonroy (WMF) (talk) 19:17, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
