Wikidata for Education - Structuring Curricula Data on Wikidata[edit]

Abstract/description[edit]

(Sample) We want to provide an engaging and informative session that explores the transformative potential of Wikidata in digitizing school curricula. This session will showcase the Wikidata for Education initiative. This project originated in Ghana during the pandemic, as a part of UNESCO’s “Global Education Coalition”, has now expanded to Uruguay and Italy. The initiative aims to align the "sum of all knowledge" with school curricula, making it easily accessible for teachers, students, and researchers. This session will provide insights into the strategic steps taken, initial learnings, and project expansion. Participants will discover how Wikipedia articles have aligned with school curricula, revolutionizing how students access relevant information.
