Ebonyi State University (EBSU) IG Wiki Fan Club
Ebonyi State University (EBSU) IG Wiki Fan Club is a fan club under the Igbo Wikimedians User Group whose goal is to advance the aim and objectives of the User Group as it concerns working on Wikimedia projects related to Igbo language and culture.
Backstory[edit]
When the 2024 first quarter Internal grant application was announced by the Igbo Wikimedians User Group, user Chikeme Chizurum, who was the coordinator for UNN IG Wiki Fan Club as an undergraduate(Now a graduate) applied to start up a fan club in Ebonyi state University (EBSU) so as to continue the promotion of Igbo language and culture via Wikimedia project in the educational institute. The application was successful and endorsed. This led to the launch of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) IG Wiki Fan Club on the 6th of Aoril 2024
