Wikiclubs Editathon in Elbasan, Albania
We are excited to share with the community this editathon took place on April 25, 2023. This event brought together 25 high school students to write articles on various topics important to today's youth, such as the Sustainable Development Goals. Once they refreshed their knowledge of the article's anatomy, they picked their favorite article to contribute to the writing, creating, translating, and improving related to the following topics: Quality of education, Climate action, and Good health and well-being. We are sure their contributions will help educate and inform the Albanian-speaking community worldwide about these critical issues.
In the end, students received a certificate for their hard work and contribution to Wikipedia. In addition, they shared with the whole group the importance of volunteer work on Wikipedia and how much they learned from using and contributing to it. Also, they discussed how their work developed their skills in research and collaboration which is valuable in their future academic endeavors.
