Wikidata in the classroom FGGC Bwari Experience
Summary: The project brought together the students of Junior Secondary,Senior Secondary and some teachers of Federal Government Girls College Bwari Abuja.
Last Month, the Wiki Club of Federal Government Girls College Bwari Abuja trained some students on Wikidata. They added the content of Nigerian Women in Academics, Media, and Politics on Wikidata. The program enabled the participants the opportunity to learn through practical training how to source information and add content on Wikidata. The Students were so excited learning about different Nigerian Women in Academica, Media, and Politics, their biographies, and their contributions to society. This really inspired them a lot, Being an all-girl school the project gave them insight into all the achievements of women and a hope that they too can do better. It equally encouraged collaboration between the Junior and Senior Students.
