Event:Atyapland WikiOutreach

The Atyapland WikiOutreach is an in-person workshop aimed at getting new editors to contribute to Tyap language content on Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata. At the end of this exercise, the Tyap Wikimedians User Group aims at establishing an editing hub in Atyapland with leadership to oversee the activities in the hub. For the last three weekends of June, the group would conduct workshops to transfer knowledge to participants who wish to promote the Tyap language in the Wikimedia space.

Event Details

• Dates: 15 – 16, 22 – 23, & 29 – 30 June 2024.
• Venue: In-person @ College of Agriculture, Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Chenkwon (Samaru Atyap), Kaduna State, Nigeria; and Online (Facebook Live via our handle).
• Status: Ongoing.

How to participate

1. Log in or Create a New Account.
2. Register yourself for this event. Go to the top of this page and click on "Register for event" to register yourself after it is confirmed that you've logged in already.
3. Attend the event in person or stream Live on Facebook on Saturday, 15, 22 & 29, and Sunday, 16, 23 & 30 June 2024.

• Reward all time-highest editors with quality edits during the event: Male and Female categories
  • Gifts to reach participants both directly and through the leaders of the hub in Atyapland (for those within and around Atyapland)
