Event:Editatón Mujeres en las ciencias

	Editatón Women in the sciences

En el marco de la Conferencia GLAM Wiki, Wikimedistas de Uruguay invita a las y los participantes a sumarse a la Editatón Mujeres en las ciencias , con el apoyo de L’Oréal Groupe.

The aim of the activity is to create and improve articles of scientific women of Uruguay and Latin America that have received a National Prize L'Oréal-UNESCO “By the women in the science”.

Date and place

This editathon is a hybrid event, you can participate both virtually and in person.

If you are participating in the Virtual Event:

• Dates: from Thursday 16 November 2023 to 9:00 AM to Saturday 18 November to 11 AM UTC-3.
• Place: from anywhere in the world.

If you participating in the "GLAM Wiki Conference":

• Date: on 16 Thursday, 16 November 2023, from 12 to 15 p.m., we will give a workshop on how to edit on Wikipedia. Submissions to the contest will be open until Saturday, November 18 at 11 AM UTC-3.
• Place: San Salvador 1944, Classroom 110 and 111, FIC, Montevideo.

How to participate?

• To participate, is necessary that you register on this event page.
• All the people that participate accept to guide by the Friendly Space Policy of the Wikimedia community.
• If it is your first time editing in Wikipedia, create your account here. If you need help, consult the handouts for the editathon.
• We recommend you bring your own laptop or tablet to contribute.
• If you are in the conference, you can have lunch at the editathon.

Prizes

• For the 3 people that more edit of remote form: a gift card of Amazon value 100 USD.
• For the 3 people that more edit presencialmente: a kit with products of L'Oréal.

Una editatón es un evento de edición colectiva y simultánea en Wikipedia en el que personas con distintos niveles de experiencia se reúnen para mejorar o crear artículos sobre una temática en particular. La actividad incluye charlas informativas para quienes recién comienzan en Wikipedia, apoyo continuo en la edición y materiales de ayuda.
