Mapping out Nigerian churches and mosques[edit]
Mapping out Nigerian churches and mosques is a project oraganised in the Igbo Wikimedians User Group to create items about Nigerian religous and worship centers (churches and mosques) in different parts of the countries on Wikidata.
The project is aimed at improving the index capacity and quality of contents and creating visibilty for Nigerian religious and worship centers on Wikidata by adding location and other informations.
The project will take the form of an edit a thon where participants will be creating Items on wikidata for duration of 8 days.

- Launch: The project will be launched on 6th of April 2024 with a training session.
- Time: 5:00PM UTC+1
- Durations: 1hour

- Edit a thon starts:6th of April 2024 by 6:00PM UTC+1
- Edit a thon ends:13th of April 2024 by 11:59 PM UTC+1
Expectattions[edit]
During the session, participants will:
- Learn how to search for lists and details of churches and mosques online.
- Learn how to check if the church or mosque is already existing on Wikidata as an Item.
- Learn how to create a Wikidata Item.
- Learn how to improve an already existing Wikidata Item by adding coordinate location and other missing statements.
