Free Culture Alliance NYC is an informal umbrella group of organizations in the New York City area with an interest in the Free Culture movement, Open Education, and related developments at the boundaries of technology, culture, community, and the commons.

Organizations, nonprofits, or meetup groups are invited to have one or more representatives join our mailing list and filter messages to the membership. (You can also join Free Culture Alliance NYC on LinkedIn.)

Meetups are also often announced on the on the Internet Society NY feed and Wikimedia NYC feed on Meetup.com

Next meeting[edit]

  • Sunday, August 2, 2015, from about 1:00 - 7:00 pm: WiknicNYC Picnic, the "picnic anyone can edit" will be held in Prospect Park (Brooklyn), as part of the Great American Wiknic celebrations being held across the United States.
