Venue

The conference will be held at The Faculty of Information & Communication (FIC) of the University of the Republic of Uruguay. The Faculty's building, located in Parque Rodó (Montevideo), was inaugurated in February 2017. More information about its history here.

The FIC has 8500 m2 distributed in four floors equipped with classrooms, a large Library, a Aula Magna, TV studio, radio, audiovisual laboratories and recording rooms, documentary restoration laboratory, archive, cafeteria service and photocopier, among others. The building has elevators and toilets for the disabled, as well as an air conditioning system and bicycle racks.

Accommodation

Thinking of everyone's comfort and in order to reduce travel time from the accommodation site to the Conference venue, we have chosen the Ibis Styles Montevideo Biarritz Hotel. Near the hotel, you can visit places such as the Juan Zorrilla de San Martín Museum, the Parque Rodó, the National Museum of Visual Arts, the Pocitos, Punta Carretas and Parque Rodó broadwalks or go shopping at the nearby mall.

The hotel offers services such as: restaurant, lobby bar, 24 hour reception, room service, gym, parking, airport transfers and free wifi. Rooms in shared accommodation with two single beds, private bathroom, minibar, air conditioning, cable TV and safety deposit box.
