Grants:IdeaLab/Female stubs
Project idea[edit]
What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]
Getting more "female" issues and more female authors for Wikipedia.
What is your solution?[edit]
Stubs motivate people who know more about the issue. They are motivated to complete missing information and to adjust mistakes. Thus another trick: placing mistakes in the stubs knowingly.

Project plan[edit]
Activities[edit]
The project manager will search for authors who write the stubs and for female experts who could complete the stubs. She/he will train the female authors in Wikipedia writing. She/he will launch press articles. Translators will translate German articles, f.i., to English and v.v.
Budget[edit]
- Project manager: 750 € for three months (May, June, July, 2015)
- Translators: 500 €
Community engagement[edit]
Must still be planned. There must be a platform for the authors who write the stubs.
Sustainability[edit]
A lot of stubs which continue to allure female authors.
Measures of success[edit]
Number of female Wikipedia authors. Number of articles in certain topics.
