More to learn
[edit]Further details about what I would like to learn.
Effective training for newcomers/ newcomer experience; we are currently in the proces of setting up a train the trainer programme and any pointers or experiences we can learn from in this light are very very welcome. Innovations in culture and heritage: I am mainly interested in the knowledge equity part of this skills, and exploring methods for decolonisation and engaging groups that are working in this field to participate on Wikimedia projects in a inclusive way. We have been running the 'Wiki goes Caribbean' 'Gendergap/LHBTIQ' and 'Netherlands and the world' projects at Wikimedia Nederland for some time now, and these projects have mainly been focused on content but we would like to make the shift to engage more people and organisations from these communities. Designing and developing educational programs: at the moment we are do not have our own educational programme at Wikimedia Nederland and I believe it would be a great opportunity for us to develop one in. the future.
Stories about sharing
[edit]Interesting stories about applying the skills I want to share.
Event organising: WMNL host an annual large event (WikiCon NL or hack a thon) were I was the responsible projectcoordinator. Creating, managing, and sharing tutorials and resources: in 2022 I coordinated the launch of the Wikimedia Nederland kennisplatform (kennisplatform.wikimedia.nl), were new editors can find easy FAQs about working with Wikimedia. Small editing events, campaigns and contests: as project coordinator I supported the organising of three editions of Wiki Loves Monuments organised by new organisations working with Wikimedia located remotely in Suriname and Sint Eustatius.
