Individuals, groups, Wikimedia affiliates or organisations from Wikimedia movement

For short-term, low-cost projects with Wikimedia focus (1-12 months)

2 months processing time, 1 round per two months
How much?
500 - 5,000 USD
Wikimedia Community Fund

Individuals, groups, Wikimedia affiliates or organisations from the Wikimedia movement

For larger projects and programs. For annual or strategic plans that require sustained support.

4 months processing time, 2 rounds in a year

Starting from 10,000, unrestricted funding
Wikimedia Community Fund

Groups, individuals, Wikimedia affiliates or organisations that are looking to bring together Wikimedians

Local, regional and thematic conferences focused on sharing, skill-building, and networking

3 months processing time, 2 rounds in a year

Starting from 10,000 USD

Individuals, groups or Wikimedia affiliates with experience in the Wikimedia movement

For pushing existing Movement Strategy Initiatives forward
