Accepted
Please review the notes below before submitting your report.
Your draft implementation plan document should address the following questions clearly:
- What movement strategy initiative or goal are you addressing?
- What activities will you be doing to address that initiative?
- What do you expect will happen as a result of your activities? How do those outcomes address the movement strategy initiative?
- How will you measure or evaluate your activities? What tools or methods will you use to evaluate your activities?
To create a draft implementation plan, we recommend the use of a logic model, which will help you and your team think about goals, activities, outcomes, and other factors in an organized way. Please refer the following resources to develop a logic model:
- Overview of logic models on Meta-wiki
- Example logic models for reference for other movement activities (such as partnerships and edit-a-thons)
- Blank logic model template on Google Drive

- Initiative number 3: Increased awareness about the Wikimedia Movement and
- Initiative number 2: Initiative for underrepresented communities because the lack of translated material is still a barrier for many communities, such as the Arabic-Speaking communities.
What activities have you completed to produce this draft plan?
- Introductory phase: Creating a session about MSIG to understand community needs and prospects
- Translation phase:
- 3. Interactive sessions phase: two interactive sessions involved questions about the movement strategy to discuss its concepts and highlight its recommendations, principles, and intiatives.
- The first interactive session was about the past and present status of the movement strategy in Q&A settings, where audience members were asked about the MS's narrative. I also created a case study to engage the audience with the UCOC and its future endeavors.
- The second interactive session: the audience was asked to imagine themselves as future members of the global council and how they would respond to certain situations. The imaginary situations were formulated from the suggested powers in the current draft of the global council.
