Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes

Project goals:

1.we raised awareness about the protection of sites through uploading photos in to commons.

2.we had raised awareness about copy right and referencing of pictures, though pictures were deleted, we need to contest for our photos not to be deleted in future.

3. We have engaged participants through Wikimedia commons, and the use of pictures in articles in future edit thorns.

Number of participants ː 25 Participants. We had more participants on the deck Some of the participants had their network data and resources to join the session.
Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons ː 250 images uploaded. Though this was achieved, our participants had their photos deleted from commons. Some of our uploaded content was deleted from the Wikimedia commons repository server.
Number of photos used on Wikimedia projectsː 30 we had 40 I. Ages used on articles, unfortunately most if the images were deleted and we had to upload them again.

A promising project which will bring more volunteers in future.

Most of the new attendees failed to create accounts. We had our images deleted from Wikimedia commons.

  • What would you do differently next time?

Request ip settings for more account creations. Get more experienced people to help us when our images are getting deleted.


Grant funds spent[edit]

2. Internet Data Expensesː P 142.51 x 12 = P 1710.06

3. Certificates Expensesː P 333 x 12 = P 3 996

4. Prizes Expensesː Awarded, $600 / P 6,840.38 ($300 for 1st prize, $200 for the 2nd and lastly $100 for the third prize).

5. P1000 bank charges and transfers

We had remaining funds of 131 usd, therefore we did not use the photo hunting budget. We agreed to find individually find photos.

Remaining funds are retained by the grantee with WMF's permission until after the report review has been completed and report has been accepted, at which time the WMF program officer will also provide instructions regarding the grantee's reallocation or return of the unspent grant funds.

The images of some participants were deleted ,from the Wikimedia commons,due to copy right issues therefore others can be seen here
