Goals
[edit]Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
We have been able to meet our main goals which was to engage our community and create awareness on the heritage sites and monuments in Rwanda
1. Recruit new editors : We have been able to recruit new editors throughout the process of hunting the monuments photos
2. Increase skills for existing editors: We have been able to increase the skills of existing editors and they gained experience in the project we were learning especially in researching on the original stories from the communities around the monuments and heritage sites
3. Add or improve content on monuments in RWANDA: We have been able to document different monuments across the country
Outcome
[edit]Please report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.

15 new editors | More than 10 editors have been recruited | We have had new editors actively participating in wikimedia activities but we haven't achieved the target because of the limitation in campaigning during the lock down. |
20 articles created and improved | More than 10 articles were created and more than 10 articles were improved | We have had new editors and actively in drafting these articles which are not yet published |
Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
The organization of online workshops was successful and we collaborated well with the institutions in charge
- What did not work so well?
Because of lack of experience in new editors, drafted articles are still being improved before publishing
- What would you do differently next time?
We will train our new editors as early as possible in order to mitigate our barriers and we will increase our research and collaborate more in order to get more information on monuments and heritages sites
