This report for a Rapid Grant approved in FY 2021-22 has been reviewed and accepted by the Wikimedia Foundation.


Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes I was able to meet the goal, we even superceeded it with over 100%. I was happy with how it went.

Number of new editors (6) Number of new editors (27) All participants were all new editors and 8 of them were active.

  • What worked well? I was able to meet the goal of 1000 articles, and i made sure the participants added quality pictures only.
  • What did not work so well?
  1. I had issues with my bank(it has been resolved already) and this made us start late and the publicity didn't go far as expected
  2. Due to the limitation placed on WPWP contests, participants were not able to add more pictures.
  3. There were limited amount of quality pictures compared to that of wrong pictures on the fisttool used.
  • What would you do differently next time?
  1. I would apply early enough so there would be enough time for the publicity.
  2. I would get enough tools to assist me in getting more pictures
  3. It would have been more better if it was a physical event rather than a virtual one too.

  1. Prizes( t-shirt inclusive) = $400
  2. Internet support for team members = $200
  3. Internet reimbursement for participants during the event = $250
  4. Branded hoodies for team members =$100
  5. Promotions and branding = $200
  6. Airtime for Communication = $100
  7. Transportation and bank charges = $50
