Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

Well we will say a large number of things went well, we had a different levels of experience. Whom we really appreciate and thanks the foundation for the opportunity.

1. We were able to travel to the North Central in Nigeria in other to capture moment, Homes and Habitat of people and their environment they lived in that particular part of the country.

2. We were able to travel to 3 states for the phot walk and capture images relating to homes and Habitat as the theme of the year.

3. We were able to carried two workshop for the events as we stated. This is for photo uploading and Awareness.

4. We were able to upload more than 800 photos whom all are put into Wiki Loves Africa 2022 category and also NCPUG Category.

5. We were able to register new users and we were able to introduce some of the editors to our User Group for their participation also within the User Group.

6. The images focus solemnly on the theme of the year having to take Home and Habitat of people in the Northern part of Nigeria.

7. An online workshop has been carried out successfully where it gives people from a far chance to participate in the events. And also it also help in bringing people from distance places into the User group.

  • What did not work so well?

Well something's did not work so well but despite all that we can say we were able to carry out the project successful.

1. We have problems while carrying out the workshop with the halls That, we have to change the hall. This is because some people were using the hall and the management did not inform us about the new changes they have so we have to schedule another day and it cost us a lot of money again.

2. We also have to sent another schedule date to our participants which whom are mostly student of Kaduna state university. Also they complain massively this is because they were present at the very first day and we have to postpone the program to later dates.

3.

  • What would you do differently next time?

We at NCPUG we have a lot of plans, it's taking a lot meetings and a lot of inclusion.

But still the meetings are yield greeter results and impact.

For now we plan to initiate an international campaign that will see to it that sound in Wikimedia movement is available at all the sister project necessary. We want to makes sure every article, every data, every word in Wiktionary get sounds if it requires one.

It's a huge work, buy looking at the capacity of the movement and with proper awareness and inclusion to everybody in the movement we believe it's possible.

We also want to partake and participants in the WikiVibrance upcoming events. That's deal with Youth participation and recognition in the movement.
