Goals[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes. Successfully participated in Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon. Provided training and skills to 5 new editors. 3 existing editors were also part of this training and together we created 11 articles, edited 23 articles, did 100 total edit, added 3.2k words , did 31 common uploads. We had 3 female editors of which 2 are new editors. Female participation in edit-a-ton increased.

Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well? Partnering with the church in providing a space and announcement at church service worked well. Had all the support needed in getting a venue and preparing for the training. Getting an experience Wikipedia also worked well. This was arranged in advance for the training. Also created a what App group before and after the training to share any queries about the training for assistance. Arrangement for other logistics for the training also worked well.
  • What did not work so well? Number of participants for the edit-a-ton was very low compared to plan.
  • What would you do differently next time? Frequent follow up calls will be made to RSVP participants and/or a collaboration with a selected university. Also frequent edit-a-tons organised as a refresher training for existing editors and to increased participation by new editors mostly females.
