Goals[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Yes, happy with how the project went because we met almost all of our targets, that is about 95%. There was a good cooperation from the participants, the events went well. We made sure edits were done during the events and we made progress. Check the link [1]

Outcome[edit]

Please report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.

Target outcome Achieved outcome Explanation
25 new users 21 new users We were able to achieve about 98% of our initial target.
50 new and improved articles 26 new articles/31 improved articles We were able to create an polish 57 articles cumulatively

Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

Most of the invitations we sent to our new users were answered, so our goals were achieved as we had a successful two days event. We made sure every new user have created and improved an article. Therefore, we call it a successful program.

  • What did not work so well?

We had some technical issues in terms of carrying out the project due to little fault we had from the management of our program venue. Though we didn't expect that because we get the halls at a quite high rate, it went beyond our expectations. Also, we had difficulties transporting our fellow participants because of the increase of rate we had for transportation. We also noticed that some edits were not signed by our proposed hashtag (#HWWZ) despite lack of familiarity on how to make edits. Therefore, below is a link to the articles we worked on.. [2]

  • What would you do differently next time?

We had all participants gathered in a WhatsApp group and we are working hard on explaining more about the features of Wikipedia, so there will be more efficiency next time we organise a project
