Background

The essence of the Grants:Project/Rapid/Tochiprecious/Imo State Wikimedia Projects Awareness and Edit a thon is to create awareness of Wikimedia Projects to Igbos in Imo State, train them on how to contribute especially to Igbo Wikipedia, Igbo Wiktionary and WikiCommons, to also bring volunteers together to help contribute to digitize /increase the number of Articles on the Igbo Wikipedia Language Platform through translations and creation of Articles. But due to the corona virus pandemic which hindered the offline event, we resorted to taking the program online via different meeting channels like Zoom and Google Meet.
