Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- The blend of experienced and new editors in the training and edit-a-thon ensured that high quality health-related content were added to the English Wikipedia. Also, the provision of data to participants helped them to individually access Wikipedia from their individual network. As a result, the IP block which has affected previous training didn't affect this training.
- What did not work so well?
- The number of days allotted for training was not sufficient as the organizers really couldn't move past training the participants on the basic Wikipedia policy and basic editing.
- What would you do differently next time?
In the future, I will like to dedicate two days for training so that the participants can be well grounded on Wikipedia Project editing.
