Simple Annual Plan Grants fund a group or organization's programs and operating expenses for around 6–12 months.
The Simple Annual Plan Grants program is accepting new applications, and current grantees will also be able to reapply for funding. Get in touch with a program officer at simplewikimedia.org if you want to start a new application or if you have any questions.

Our new COVID-19 Risk Assessment protocol for in-person gatherings is designed to be sensitive to the constantly changing circumstances around this pandemic, and allow potential grantees and community members to assess their own ability to safely host events and activities.
If you are planning an in-person event plan to request funding, please follow the steps described in these guidelines before submitting a grant proposal. For current grants already in progress, please contact your program officer if you would like to include or change your activities to include in-person activities.

Annual Plan Grants are only for groups and organizations very closely aligned with Wikimedia’s mission that already have experience managing programs and grant funding. If you are an individual or if you don't yet have experience with WMF grants, you should look at Rapid or Project Grants.
New applications for Simple Annual Plan Grants are being accepted. Proposals are reviewed on 1 October and 1 April each year. Returning applicants will also need to apply by 1 October or 1 April.
