Grants:TPS/Спасимир/Wikimania/2016/Report
Wikimania 2016 in Esino Lario is my first Wikimania which I attended. This is an extremely interesting and useful event that I was able to meet with people from all over the world and learn a lot of useful information.
Attended sessions
[edit]In the first two days (22 and 23 June 2016), I spent in Collaborative Space for the Learning Day. In the late afternoon, my colleagues from the Wikimedians of Bulgaria User Group and I installed our community booth.
On June 24, I presented a presentation about the Archives Challenge which is organized by me and the Wikimedians of Bulgaria User Group. With Spiritia, we had prepared together postcards, featuring photos and collages from Then and Now gallery. In the evening, there was a Central and Eastern European Meetup, during which we discussed the Wikimedia CEE Spring 2016 and 2017 contest, the forthcoming Wikimedia CEE Meeting in Armenia, Wiki Loves Earth / Monuments 2016, as well as other joint cooperations. I participated in 100wikidays meetup.
On June 25, I was on Gender gap in the global south: Lessons from policy and outreach, Wikipedia to the Moon, University education, GLAM, Wikidata and GLAM intermediate workshop.
On June 25, I was on Global South, Present and Future of Wiki Loves Monuments and The Wikipedia Asian Month panel: how we did it, and how you can do it too.
