Outcome[edit]
- Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?
- I worked during the hackthon on a new tool to help detect copyright issues in commons. phab:T230561. It was based on earlier discussions in Commons VP[1]. I got a prototype working[2] but there is still a plenty of work to productize it.
Connections[edit]
I had many interesting discussions during the Wikimania. I met friendly editors from Ghana and got introduced to Twi Wikipedia, and had some interesting discussions with Wikipedians from Ukraine. Additionally I had discussions with Wikidata people - learned about more potential uses for Hebrew dates phab:T131593 and about the vision of federated wikibases.
