Wikimedia Commons lunch meetup

At the Wikimedia Commons lunch meetup on Sunday I presented the YouTube Channel-tool I had published at the hackathon in Barcelona earlier this year. Somebody in the room asked if it could also search YouTube more widely so I demonstrated how one can look for free license material on YouTube itself.

I taught Jim Handerson how to use Google MyMaps when scouting for objects to photograph. I helped Mike Peel with the list of cultural heritage sites of Brazil by converting its PDF into a spreadsheet. I and Josh Lim had a long discussion with keynote speaker Martin Dittus about the Wikimedia comunity. I was able to link him to a paper Ziko had written a couple of years ago about the differences between the four pillars on various language versions of WIkipedia.
