When I got back I had a chance to share my experience in 2 offline meetings organised as well as shared a brief story of what ensued at the conference through a newsletter. In the newsletter, I shared several interviews I granted on the importance of Wikimedia to Africans and how to make the best out of the first Wikimania in Sub-sahara Africa.

Connections

I co-facilitated the lightning talks and gave a talk at the lightning talk on the first day of the pre-conference. There were about 30 people in attendance. I also led a pre-conference for librarians and there were about 30 in attendance. I had a chance to meet with lots of librarians who were interested in exploring the Wikipedia space even after the conference, and I have pledged my support to them.
