Welcome back from Wikimania 2018!
- Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?
After Wikimania we had an edit session for both newbies and old editors, we also had a team meeting where Joy, Felix and i shared ideas and lessons from Wikimania to the rest of the team.
- Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?
I met Amir E. Aharon who helped me install the Akan keyboard and showed me around Translatewiki.net, to be able to translate from English to twi and yoruba wikipedia. I intend ensuring people understand the relevance of translations and get people interested in editing in our dialect. https://translatewiki.net/wiki/User:SAgbley.
I met a lot of awesome Wikimedians, from Erina,Rupika to kritzolina who i have been dying to met, and Woubzena, also Wikimasters who we intend collaborating with on his awesome project, the list is endless. I met Amir, who encouraged me to translate Twi and Yoruba Wikipedia. I was happy to meet User:Jaluj wikipedista (Andre) again after the diversity conference in Stockholm last year and worked on her project on notable women who do not have article in Wikipedia in Spanish https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiproyecto:Mujeres_latinoamericanas/Mujeres_africanas.
I was on a Panel discussion with three other amazing women from Africa at the Wiki women meetup which was led by Maria Cruz. I was also on the Panel Discussion Gaps in Global GLAM capacity. intend to have a cross collaborative projects with other African Wikimedians
