Proposed participation[edit]

I've been active in digitalization projects inside Wikimedia Argentina since 2012, helping to upload to Commons & WikiSource a couple thousand images & archives from the public domain from different archives, and helping Wikimedia now with the ongoing discussion about the copyright extension for photos. I'll be talking about the ways in which we can make a stronger public domain for improving Commons & sister projects.

Goal and expected impact[edit]

I hope to get a better input for building a strategy to protect the public domain, which is permanently being put at risk.

Budget breakdown[edit]

  • Travel (round trip airfare from Buenos Aires to Seoul): USD 2,000
