Welcome back from Wikimania 2018!

Participant[edit]

Wirjadisastra

Javanese Wikipedia

Outcome[edit]

Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?

I wrote my Wikimania 2018 experience in chronological order here. It is written in Javanese for people in the community to read. Should someone request me to translate it into Indonesian or English, I will consider providing the translation.

Anything else[edit]

  • I wrote for the Javanese Wikipedia social media my little finding about the knowledge gap on the Javanese culture that I found in Wikidata. Here is my writings in the Javanese language that was posted on the Javanese Wikipedia Facebook (link) and Instagram (link).
  • I took some photos while in Cape Town. In this conference, I knew for the first time what photowalk is. I consider these photos as results of my early attempts doing photowalks. See this album and feel free to use it.
  • It was really nice to get to know some people who concern on indigenous languages and their projects on recording the languages. My monologue in Javanese was recorded by Daniel and Freddie from Wikitongues and my dialogue with Amy (User:Notanotheramy) also in Javanese was recorded by Subhashish from Openspeaks. At the moment, the videos are not ready yet. I will update this page as soon as the videos are published.
