  • Federal Polytechnic Kazaure is located in Kazaure Jigawa State Nigeria, is a renowned research tertiary institution catering to a large student body and a dedicated staff of educators and professionals. This proposal aims to make Wikipedia and its related projects widely accepted within the college, foster active participation from students and lecturers in contributing to these platforms, and establish sustainable communities dedicated to Wikimedia initiatives.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

We will notified them via our WhatsApp group and the Fulfulde Wikipedia user group Discussion page.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse your proposal as proof of availability)

  • Fulani215 is the project leader, a Native Fulfulde Speaker, a Wikimedia editor, a content creator with vast experience that participate in so many Wikimedia training both physical and online, He train more than Fifty new recruit editors from Kano university of Science and Technology Wudil (KUST ) , He is among the Fulfulde team lead by Ardido Ardake In Hausa Wikimedia movement strategies in Gombe and Borno state where he train more than 20 new recruit editors.
  • Mamman AA is an experienced Fulfulde language Wikimedian and facilitator. He will be available to facilitate a session on contributing to Fulfulde language Wikipedia

Yes, they have equipments. Training will be conducted to enhance their skills

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

The project’s WhatsApp group will serve as a venue for continuous engagement and communication to our participants.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

  • We will use Wikimedia metric dashboard to track all our activities

Fulani215 is the project lead that is responsible for coordinating, organizing all the project activities and assisted by Mamman AA to ensure the effective project delivery
