  • As a result, this project offer will acclimatize and train Academic community of Federal collage of Education (Technical) Gusau on how they can harness the colorful article on wikipedia for their exploration work and indeed get to understand how they can give dependable citations to wikipedia articles . This project will also help students and staff to successfully use Wikipedia( and other Wikimedia products) to search, access, recoup, interpret, and cover the information consumed. Mindset shift from not accepting Wikipedia sources as dependable to allowing students to cite Wikipedia sources.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

To conduct a 1 day physical awareness and sensitization crusade during the inception of the project for both staff and students of FCE.
To organize ( one in- person and 2 online) training for staff and students of Federal College of Education .

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Banner, Fliers, stickers will be designed to be distributed to druggies of the library and also a broadcast communication will be participated in the colorful departmental position WhatsApp groups.

off course the participants have Smartphones some with laptops and Data support will be provided.

A WhatsApp group will be used to encourage people to edit and try to answer any questions that may come up along their newfound trip.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

The program's content will focus a priority on closing the knowledge gap by updating current articles and producing new ones about individuals, locations, and organizations in Zamfara State.

User:Abubakar Yusuf Gusau Project lead, a resident of Gusau an experienced Wikimedian from Zamfara state.which I attended several Training/Edith a thon organize by some Hausa Wikimedians. With the experience I gained so far, I will be able to manage participants and host a training on how they can contribute on Wikipedia.As a local resident familiar with the community, I will play a key role in engaging the targeted participants.
User:Hamza DK is a veteran editor with experience in working on Wikimedia projects who is a volunteer and has completed several Wikimedia projects in Northern Nigeria. He is a facilitator himself.
User:Gwanki is a seasoned Wikimedia editor who contributes on a volunteer basis. He also serves as an Administrator on the Hausa Wikipedia. Many Wikipedia projects in Northern Nigeria have been organized and facilitated by him. Online facilitators include him.

The event's location is not too far from where all of the facilitators live.

  • Wiki projects was not been done in Gusau, Zamfara state. So implementating this proposal is very good in the technical college and we hope to achieved a ultimate goal in this project.
