  • wikimedia yearly campaign between October to November and our target is to engage students who are upcoming artists studying theatre arts on how to contribute to Wikipedia and wikidata about movies, films, blockbuster, actor, actress, cinema and every genre of African Cinematography. We aim to further promote and bridge content gap on African film related content, improve importantly lots of movie articles stubs during this campaign, adding citations and relevant references to films related content on both Wikipedia and wikidata, creating and improving items. And also engage new editors

Activities[edit]

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following One physical training and one online training and an edit a thon contest follows Physical training: we will be hosting a physical training in order to get to know our participants training them on how to edit on both Wikipedia and wikidata and they will not be blocked and also assist them with anything they find difficult while edit. There will also be a short edit-a-thon that day. Online training: this will also help us follow up with training for those not available for the physical training, those who distance couldn’t help make it to the venue and also other participants. Through this session we will get to ask our participants question and also answer questions on anything they need to know involved editing and any difficulties faced. Edit a thon contest: After the physical training participants will engage in a contest and prizes will be given to top contributors after the campaign.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

  1. Always updating them on other campaigns
  2. Make them become members of the Nigeria Wikimedia User Group
  3. Encouraging them to continue to contribute to free knowledge of the wikimedia movement

User:kingaustin07 i am an active and experienced editor and i hosting the physical training and also the online training sessions and the edit a thon process

User:Alexander achie004(facilitator) is an experienced editor in both Wikipedia and wikidata, he has hosted and also facilitated projects as well as training editors he will be my co trainer and facilitator of the physical training
