One Physical Training and one virtual Event and Edit a thons with an online contest
Physical Training:The physical training initiative offers an interactive learning experience, guided by experienced facilitators, to equip editors with the skills needed to effectively contribute to documenting profound quotes from Nigerian heroes, heroines, and leaders on Wikiquote. Through engaging exercises and workshops, participants enhance editing skills, learn attribution guidelines, and deepen their understanding of project objectives. Fostering collaboration, the training enables participants to exchange insights, ideas, and connect with fellow contributors, ultimately empowering them to curate valuable content, expand the representation of Nigerian wisdom, and preserve the legacies of these figures for future generations.
Virtual Training:The virtual events aim to engage a diverse audience in documenting profound quotes from Nigerian heroes, heroines, and leaders. Featuring interactive sessions, edit-a-thons, and training, these events provide a platform to delve into the importance, historical context, and influence of these quotes. Participants can contribute insights, collaborate on refining and expanding Nigerian thought, and celebrate the country's culture and history. Ultimately, these events encourage active involvement in preserving the legacies of Nigerian figures while fostering intellectual discourse.

The project aims to engage a diverse group of individuals, including scholars, students, historians, and the general public interested in Nigerian history and culture. It plans to create awareness through e-fliers, social media campaigns, email outreach, collaborations, and engaging content, encouraging active participation and promoting understanding of Nigerian history, culture and Leadership

Following the event, participants will have the chance to join the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria, enabling ongoing collaboration and support within the dedicated community. They'll we added to the dedicated WhatsApp group for real-time updates and discussions. Regular communication via email, social media, and online forums will keep participants informed about project developments and opportunities. The project team will actively seek feedback to enhance the project and maintain meaningful engagement beyond the initial event.

This project holds tremendous potential for positive outcomes. By documenting the profound quotes of Nigerian heroes, heroines, and leaders, the project will create a comprehensive repository of wisdom and inspiration that celebrates Nigeria's rich cultural heritage. Moreover, the project is committed to following the Wikimedia youth policy, ensuring meaningful participation and inclusivity for young contributors, as well as adhering to the friendly space policy, which guarantees a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
