The contest will focus on freely licensed and high quality images of Nigeria Monuments, that will be contributed to Wikimedia Common for free usage. Images of Nigeria monuments, archaeological sites, and cultural heritage. This contest is an opportunity to contribute high quality images of these monuments, archaeological sites, and cultural heritage to Wikimedia Common. It help increase the awareness of Wikimedia projects

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using. I will be engaging the participants via WhatsApp. This is to communicate every important information that will be needed during the edit a thon and also doing because of the photo work how it’s going to be always sure everything is in place for the completion of the projects.

For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will be conducting the training section as it is an online training

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

The participants have the equipment to contribute and participates in this context via Internet accessible devices like smart phones, tablets, and laptops to contribute to wikimedia Commons and also the smart devices would serve camera to take a good shots of monuments in Nigeria for quality photo, upload during the contest

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

We will engage the participants via the ‎WhatsApp platform updates in them about all the events around wikimedia and also add them to community In order to improve their participation and their contributions to the wikimedian foundation by adding them to the wikimedia user group Nigeria, they become active users from being newbies.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

Wiki loves monument. Is it global campaign that focuses more on improving photos and adding photos to wiki media Commons about monumental places in Nigeria, these contest is aimed at adding more photos about monuments in Nigeria and improving the active participation of users, especially new users to the Wikimedia movements

We have in availability the zoom network, which will be using to train participants on how to contribute to the wiki love monument campaign for this year
