Project summary[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

Wiki for Minorities (WfM) is an initiative focused on safeguarding cultural rights and preserving the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of various minority groups. Wiki for Minorities:Photowalk of Christians Minorities in Kano State, is a project aiming to document the presence of Christian minorities in Kano State, challenging the common perception of the region as predominantly Muslim. Through a Photowalk, the project will capture images of Christian communities in rural and urban areas, showcasing their churches, cemeteries and their lifestyle. Additionally, the initiative seeks to enhance Wikidata Items related to their towns, schools, and churches, providing a comprehensive and accurate representation. The project also aims to document the experiences of these minorities living in areas governed by Sharia law and surrounded by a predominantly Muslim population.
